Tubular Control Arms on an S-10

1/12/2017
Add Article To List

In this Tech Tip, John responds to a customer question about tubular control arms.

“I was interested in using some tubulars on my ‘92 s10. I’m coming from the understanding that they are the same as the G-Body. However, do I need to use 2 lefts or 2 rights because I know one side is 1/2 inch longer and I just want to make sure I get the correct stuff ordered.”

Hi, you inquired about using the tubular control arms for your ‘92 S10 and yes, the application is the same as the Monte Carlo, etc. If you are using them for the street or dragstrip, for proper steering geometry you would use two of the 8" right hand arms. Part Numbers 91031133 or 91031134 will get you what you need for use if you wanted bolt in ball joints or 91034396-8 for screw in ball joints from a Chrysler such as K772 by Moog.
