Introducing: Project Chevelle

1/26/2018
Add Article To List

Allow us to introduce Project Chevelle! Brand new to the Speedway Motors’ family, this is our nearly all original 1972 Chevelle Malibu. We were lucky enough to find this stunning Chevelle from its original owner, Darrell Christensen, of Norfolk, Nebraska. It retains the original 307ci small block, factory drivetrain and suspension, and the original interior.

As luck would have it, we had been dreaming about putting a build team together for a muscle project. We certainly aren’t short for car guys around here! Speedway is lucky to have people with knowledge and passion for every year, make, and model. Zach, Pat, Josh and Joe come from a variety of car backgrounds and positions here at Speedway and they are dying to start wrenching on the Chevelle!

The build team will be tackling the wheels and tires, brakes, headers and exhaust, and much more. We will be bringing you video and tech articles right here in the Toolbox and on social media on every upgrade. The Chevelle will be getting upgrades without breaking the bank and keeping the car drivable. We’re doing things the right way and having a little fun along the way. Don’t miss out on the action as Speedway brings you – Project Chevelle.
