Week to Wicked Day 1 Morning Recap

1/16/2017
Add Article To List

Speedway Motors teamed up with Classic Trucks to build a classic Chevy truck in a way that would reflect what Speedway Motors does. First things first, was to get our truck to Irvine, CA to the Classic Trucks facility. With only a week to build, we wasted no time getting down to business.

That is, after the Classic Trucks guys had a little fun with the truck first.

The general plan for the truck is a little bit of everything. We want to start at the bottom and work our way up, touching just about everything on the truck in one form or another. Frame, suspension, engine and transmission, we'll have our hands on it all.

First things first however; we are starting with a complete truck, which means we have to disassemble it. That was what ate up the majority of the morning of Day One. By the end of the morning, the truck was off the frame, and things were shaping up nicely for our marathon build of the classic Chevy.

To look over the full build list.
