Week to Wicked and Speedway Motors Build a Chevy

1/4/2017
Add Article To List

Speedway Motors, America’s Oldest Speed Shop, will kick off 2017 with a bang by teaming up with the crew of Week to Wicked, building an envy-worthy ’52 Chevy pickup. Details are still under wraps, but Speedway’s Damon Lee tells us the initial plans include a full chassis swap as well as a powertrain upgrade. Maybe a GM-based Connect-and-Cruise package will be taking place of the tired six-cylinder?! Or perhaps a more traditional small block Chevy would be a better fit to power the truck as it crisscrosses the country, celebrating Speedway’s 65th anniversary.

The five-day build will begin January 16th with the team tearing the stock 3-window down to a bare shell before beginning the long transformation from week restoration to wicked street machine. Stay tuned to www.hotrod.com for more information, daily updates, and the full Week to Wicked episode in early 2017.
