(Lincoln, Neb. Jan. 28, 2021) Speedway Motors announced today it will celebrate and kick-off the upcoming race season with Racer Appreciation Week, Feb. 1-7, which will include giveaways and special promotions.

Started in 2013, as a way to celebrate their customers who live for racing, Racer Appreciation Week is now in its 8th year. “We are more than a speed shop or parts supplier,” said Clay Smith President and Owner of Speedway Motors. “Just like our customers, our technicians are racing on the weekends and building projects too. Racer Appreciation Week is a way to celebrate all things racing and show our support of the sport.”

Speedway Motors is rooted in racing and has long been a supporter of the racing community, recently announcing it will continue as title sponsor of IMCA Super Nationals and their Weekly Racing Series. They also support a number of other sanctioning bodies and events throughout the year including the Wissota 100, SCCA Pro Solo Nationals, Wild West Shootout, I-80 Speedway, among others. Speedway Motors also recently built a 410 Sprint Car for the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum raffle.

Their support of racing also goes well beyond sponsorship. In 1992, the Speedway Motors Museum of American Speed was founded and is dedicated to preserving, interpreting and displaying physical items significant in racing and automotive history. While the museum is temporarily closed, you can take a virtual walk through Strange and Amazing Race Cars Through History on Speedway Motors blog The Toolbox.

To celebrate their customers throughout Racer Appreciation Week they will also be giving away Speedway Motors gift cards and products on social media including a Speedway Black Nylon Helmet Bag, Longacre 2 inch Fixed Stem Tire Pressure Gauge, Bell Pro Roller Gear Bag, Speedway Single Layer Nomex Racing Gloves, Titan Tools Locking Wall Cabinet, RapidAir Home Garage Nylon Air Tubing System, Speedway Alignment Turn Plates, and more! Follow them on Facebook and Instagram to find out how to enter. As an additional thank you they will be including Speedway Motors can coolers (while supplies last) in shipments going out to customers.
