Dual Reservoir Master Cylinder Kit for 1954-1956 Ford Cars

The world has accelerated in the past seven decades. In the 1950's, you were perfectly safe to putter down the road with drum brakes on all four corners and a single reservoir master cylinder. Traffic moved more slowly, and there were far fewer cars on the road. Now, in 2023, things are moving much faster. Most of those new cars have four-wheel discs, electronically controlled everything, and the ability to stop on a dime. If you're planning to drive your classic 50's Ford in modern traffic, you need to consider a brake upgrade.

This kit comes with everything needed, including hoses, proportioning valve, and a heat shield.

Speedway Motors offers a disc brake conversion that fits '54-'56 Ford cars and '55-'57 Thunderbirds. This is a great start on a brake upgrade, but what about the master cylinder? That stock single reservoir master was fine in '55, but it's not going to cut it when it's upstream of modern disc brakes. That's where our '54-'55 Ford Dual Reservoir Master Cylinder Kit comes in. This kit adds the safety of a dual reservoir master in addition to the proper bore size and proportioning valve to make that disc conversion work as it should.

Installed, this kit blends in and looks like it came from the factory this way.

Don't take chances with your classic Ford. Speedway Motors has everything you need to upgrade those brakes for added safety and miles of worry-free driving.
