Speedway Motors celebrates more than 10 years of testing G-Comp Suspension with Team Speedway winning their first two events of the 2025 season. Returning to its competitive racing roots Speedway Motors began sponsoring Team Speedway in 2014 as a test bed for product performance.

Team Speedway regularly puts Speedway Motors parts to the test on the track running a ’70 Camaro, ’86 Corvette, ’65 Nova, ’67 Camaro and in 2024 debuted a twin-turbo, stroker LS-powered Cobra replica with 315-wide tires on all four corners and a prototype Speedway Motors G-Comp suspension front and rear at Speedway Motors Heartland Nationals. All of Team Speedway’s vehicles were built with performance in mind and to put Speedway Motors products to the test on the track.

“Throughout 2025 Team Speedway will compete in Goodguys AutoCross series and events across the country,” said Bill Schneider, Speedway Motors R&D Engineer and Team Speedway Manager. “We are excited to announce our 2025 schedule where you can see G-Comp suspension in action on a track near you.”

2025 Event Schedule:

  • March 14-15 Goodguys Spring National, Westworld of Scottsdale
  • April 25-27 LS Fest West, Las Vegas Motor Speedway
  • July 4-5 Goodguys Speedway Motors Heartland Nationals, Iowa State Fair Grounds
  • Sept. 5-7 LS Fest East, Beech Bend Raceway
  • Nov. 21-23 Goodguys Speedway Motors Southwest Nationals, Westworld of Scottsdale

“This is the first full season we will be running the G-Comp Cobra,” Schneider added.

Up front, the Cobra is running a prototype G-Comp Unser Edition suspension which was modified to fit the extremely narrow confines of the Cobra. Out back, a G-Comp Torque Arm rear suspension was modified with an extremely narrow 9-inch floater housing and a torque arm that incorporates a yoke design for additional ground clearance. This is the test bed for the new narrow ’54 Track Width G-Comp Universal Front Suspension Kit and Unser edition which is expected to be released later this year.
