Museum of American Speed to Host 2026 Wheel Hub Live
As the days get warmer and Memorial Day weekend approaches, we begin to eagerly anticipate the annual Wheel Hub Live event hosted by the Museum of American Speed. This is an event unlike any other that brings some of the best hot rods, customs, and classic trucks in the world to Lincoln, Nebraska where they are presented along with some of the most significant historic hot rods and race cars in the world at the Museum of American Speed. This year’s event takes place Memorial Day Weekend, May 22nd and 23rd.
If you’re familiar with Wheel Hub Magazine, you know the caliber of cars we’re talking about. These are the hot rods, muscle cars, and customs that you’ve seen featured in Wheel Hub Magazine, presented together under one roof for this unique show. Cars like this represent countless hours of concepting, working, and masterful finishing that make them into automotive sculptures. Seeing one can be life changing, imagine seeing a bunch of them, parked in the beautiful confines of the museum alongside the historically significant cars that came before them.
Friday: Wheel Hub Live Reliability Run
The event gets rolling on Friday, May 22nd with the Reliability Run. Registration is open to the public for this cruise through the scenic backroads of Nebraska with stops at cool destinations in Lincoln and Omaha (and in between) that include the SAC Museum and optional stops at local hot rod shops CAL Automotive Creations and No Coast Custom and Rod Shop.

Saturday: Wheel Hub Live Exhibit and Car Show
The magic continues on Saturday when the doors of the Museum of American Speed open on the Wheel Hub Live exhibit. The festivities extend to the Speedway Motors parking lot where anyone with a specialty vehicle is welcome and will receive a pair of tickets to the exhibit inside the museum. That means that there’s not only a car show like no other happening indoors and a huge car show outdoors.
