Chevy II Nova Gasser: Week to Wicked Restoration Parts Exterior

9/20/2019

Speedway Motors partnered with Car Craft Magazine to build our Chevy II Nova Gasser. Johnny Hunkins from Car Craft and Steve Magnante, TV host and historical expert, talk shop on the exterior restoration products we used on our build.

For years, in order to find a lot of these products, you had to search the junkyard or drive around to swap meets. Today, Speedway Motors offers a variety of reproduction products that are new parts designed to look stock.

We are adding a new bumper and grille to our Chevy II. We decided to put a 1966 nose on the car instead of the '67 because it looks a little better. This one is made from extruded aluminum and it looks more attractive than the ’67.

To see the headlights, taillights and other exterior restoration parts get added to the car, watch day three of our build.
