Chevy Gasser Engine Parts

We knew we needed a special engine for our Week to Wicked Nova. Check out the 496 Big Block Chevy that we put together for our gasser!

To get the nose-up drag car look that we wanted for our Week to Wicked Nova project, we used one of our Gasser Axle kits. These bolt on in place of the stock front clip and instantly transform the car, making it look like it rolled right out of the 60's!

Scott's "Nemesis" '55 is a time machine that transports everyone around it back to the glory days of drag racing.

Gassers were those wild drag cars from the 60's that featured outrageously tall stances, big unruly powerplants, and huge slicks to propel them down the track. But just how did these insane creations come to be, and where did they go?

Our stock 1967 Chevy II Nova rolled into MotorTrend Group's Santa Ana Tech Center this morning and we won't sleep until it's 1960's drag strip ready!

Today’s we’re doing all the plumbing of the brakes, the fuel system, the trans cooler, but we’re most excited about the 496 big block Chevy backed up by the Powerglide transmission!

Starting with a Speedway Motors Gasser Axle Suspension Kit and our 9-Inch Housing with 3.89 gears, the Speedway Motors Build Team and Car Craft Magazine build the Chevy II Nova Gasser a rock solid foundation.

In one week, Jeff, Joe, and Zach, along with Car Craft Magazine, will take an old 1967 Chevy II Nova back in time to the days when Gassers ruled the strip. No dress up here—it will actually be able to race. Meet the build team making it happen!

We've got a new project in our shop! Check out our 1967 Chevy II Nova that we will transform into a gasser in one week.
