What’s in a name?

As it turns out, quite a bit.

This year we reached out to many of you—our customers—to find out what our name means to you. Thank you for answering your phone, for filling out a survey and for sharing your opinions with us.

You told us how you met Speedway Motors—that your dad always called us, that your friend told you we’re their go-to, that you’ve been getting our catalog for thirty years.

You told us that we have a great selection of affordable parts and that we ship them to you quickly when you need them. That you trust us with that.

But most importantly, you shouted your praise for the people who work here. You talked about how we have something really special here. That you’ve been calling in to the same tech for years and years because you know you can trust them to help build your dream. That above everything else, we feel like people you’d hang out with in your shop, drinking a beer. And you know what? We loved that. A whole lot.

And we decided that’s what moves US.

It’s about you. It’s about the memories you’re creating with your friends and family in the shop; it’s the miles you put in on the road; it’s the thrill of that victory lap. We’re behind you helping drive your dreams, and we feel like just another member of your pit crew.

We want to have a logo you love to wear on your t-shirt and be proud to put up in your windows. We want our emails and catalogs to focus on images of you doing what we all love the most—spending time in the shop, on the road, at the big race, or out a car show on a sunny Saturday afternoon. So while things might look a little bit different around here, we’re doubling down on what has made Speedway Motors special for 67 years.

Thank you for all the memories, for the years of business together and for choosing us in this great big world of other choices. We’re thrilled to be riding shotgun.
