The Making of Wheel Hub: Stephen Kim & Robert McGaffin | Episode 17

Episode Summary

If you’ve opened an issue of Wheel Hub, you get it.

If you haven’t, imagine a magazine full of features where you can see more detail on a car than you can in person at a big car show. Stephen Kim and Robert McGaffin have created a publication dedicated to awakening the next generation of car fanatics. To do it, they give every car the space that it needs to show all the details. Their partner, designer Rodney Hutcherson, lays the articles out on immaculately crafted pages, just as carefully arranged and captured as the cars themselves.

In an age when the words “print is dead” are heard more often than not, Stephen, Robert, and Rodney have created an incredible print publication. And it’s working.

In this episode of What Moves You, a Speedway Motors podcast, we talk about what it takes to launch such an ambitious project.
