Speedway Motors Announces Power Nation Partnership & Project Starstruck Airing on Detroit Muscle
Speedway Motors, a manufacturer, distributor and retailer of high-quality automotive parts and racing products, announced today their partnership with Power Nation on Project Starstruck which is scheduled to air on Detroit Muscle across the country on April 29.
Power Nation is one of America’s most watched automotive how-to programs offering a wide variety of shows including Detroit Muscle, Carcass, Music City Trucks among other titles. It is one of the most high-rated, longest-running tech content offerings on television.
Detroit Muscle’s newest project is a basket case ’66 Nova build that will need a complete overhaul including suspension. Speedway Motors offers a bolt on G-Comp® Performance Suspension that is road ready and track tested to offer modern handling and suspension for classic muscle.
Founded in 1952 by “Speedy” Bill and Joyce Smith, Speedway Motors started as a small parts shop, in Lincoln, Neb. Today, Speedway Motors offers more than 250,000 products for race, street, muscle and hot rods. With retail stores in Lincoln, Neb., Tolleson, Ariz. and three distribution centers they provide parts to customers and shops across the country. Their wide selection of parts and years of experience made them the perfect partner for this project and a go-to resource for parts and technical expertise.
“Our G-Comp suspension was the perfect bolt on solution for Detroit Muscle’s Project Starstruck,” said Joe McCollough, marketing and content project coordinator. “We have extensively tested these suspension systems, so we can be sure that the performance of this Chevy II will exceed the expectations of the Detroit Muscle crew.”
McCollough visited the Detroit Muscle shop during installation of the front and rear suspension which will be featured on the show.
“Our G-Comp suspensions are complete bolt-in kits that replace the stock front subframe and rear suspension,” McCollough added. “These suspension systems are designed, engineered, and tested right here in Lincoln, Nebraska to add modern performance to classic muscle cars.”
Speedway Motors also provided adjustable coilover shocks and front and rear disc brakes to complement the G-Comp performance suspension. See a complete build list of all of the parts provided for this project.
“Speedway Motor’s G-Comp kit was the perfect solution to update the suspension on Project Starstruck,” said Tommy Boshers host Power Nation. “Once we are finished with the build we look forward to putting rubber to the road and test out the new build on the track.”
