Speedway Motors 930C5S Details

If you are running our Unisteer rack & pinion, you will need these headers. They allow the steering shaft to pass through on the driver's side and are a shorty style for maximum ground clearance. Features 1-5/8" primaries with a 3" collector.

Tubing Thickness: 12 gauge (.103")
Header Flange Thickness: 0.30"
Exhaust Flange Thickness: 0.3760"
Stainless steel finish

Fits 283-400 S/B Chevy V8s with straight plug heads.

Note: Will not fit 168 tooth flywheels or kickout aftermarket starters. Will not fit manual transmission cars with factory Z bar clutch linkage

Note: Stainless header tubing when exposed to exhaust temperature will cause the finish to change color which will vary with the exhaust temperature. Please note that the finish of the header when the engine is started, will change to a light champagne color to a darker gold finish and in some instance may even turn dark blue or purple. This can be polished back out when utilizingBlue-awayorSimi-chrome polish, but please note that when the headers reach running temperature again, they will immediately change color.

For race/ off road use or for use on pre-1966 vehicles.

Emissions warning: this part only legal for sale or use in California for racing (competition) vehicles which may never be used, registered, or licensed for use upon a public highway, or if installed in vehicles model-year 1965 or older; motorcycles model-year 1977 or older; or off-highway recreational vehicles (such as off-road motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles) model-year 1996 and older. Any other use renders the vehicle tampered and not legal for use on California public highways (any public street or roadway, public dirt road, public park, or publicly maintained right of way open to the use of the public for vehicular travel). Violations subject to $37,500 penalty per violation per vehicle, revocation of registration, loss of use on California public right of ways, and proof of correction for tampering. I'm running the stock steering box but will be cutting the stock streeing shaft and putting in an after markt column. Will there be enough room by them can you tell me if they will still work ? Thanks Nick 1955-57 Chevy Chassis Headers for Rack and Pinion, Stainless Steel
