Oldsmobile Corvette IRS Street Parts

This is the amazing story of a 1957 Corvette that was built by GM as a factory-backed race car and test mule for the experimental Rochester Ramjet fuel injection. It won its class at Nassau and Daytona, then disappeared into a Chicago garage for 47 years.

This Corvette comes from humble beginnings, but it's a serious contender on the track.

In 2000, Sam Schmidt was involved in a serious crash testing his Indy car. He was paralyzed from the neck down. But that hasn't stopped him from hitting the track, and he does it in this hot rod Corvette packed full of miraculous electronic innovation.

Kyle's Vette looks like it was built in a pro shop, but instead it was put together in the home shop with a lot of "hard honest work."
