No instructions, generic parts packaging, no tech help.
I purchased this kit a hand full of years ago and have spent the last few months attempting to assemble it. I read the 3 other reviews and have had a completely different experience.
First, there is no instruction manual for assembly and it is very different from any kit that is covered in the manual.
Second, I didnt want to spend $5g on the rear end package since I already have a quick change. Speedway supplied me with all the bolt on pieces minus the cost of the rear, basically I still paid a premium for an incomplete bracket set, a spring, and some control arms. Speedway doesnt sell any of the brackets that they weld onto the rear. They are vehicle specific and are made in Narnia, evidently. Tech also couldnt supply me with a few basic measurements for the rearend brackets. I was told "that stuff is all built on a jig. We dont have those measurements availible. I guess nobody could measure one of the show cars or even the jig to help me out even though I have well over $6,000 into their product thus far.
Last, my current issue is the heim joint spacers for the rear upper control arms dont fit between the tabs on the frame. I can only assume I am trying to install them in the correct place because, again, there is no manual and the parts arent even labeled with their location. Its all a giant expensive guessing game. I noticed one of the other reviews said their front suspension was already bolted together on delivery. I just got boxes of mystery for my money. I did note that the 3 other reviews are 10-15 years old. Maybe they dont put any effort into their product anymore. I also noticed when looking at the pictures and video of the Tribute on Speedways page that the cars they show arent even all designed/built the same. Example: look at the lower control arms in the rear. So Speedway either didnt have their engineering figured out when they released the product or they dont know what they are building. I just want answers.
