Speedway Motors 9300201H Details
For years it seemed like installing a 289-302-351W Ford in your street rod was a far bigger challenge than using a small-block Chevy. One significant problem was finding compact shorty headers. Well, problem solved! These tight-fit headers are designed to hug tight against your small block Ford V8 and can make seemingly impossible block hugger headers installations much easier to tackle. These block hugger headers are ceramic coated headers.
For factory style oval port heads. Will work with GT40P heads with header modifications by installer for spark plug and boot clearance. Includes 2.5" collector reducers to 2.25" pipe, gaskets and bolts.
- Must be used with 910-67210 style mini starter or equivalent compact starter for an automatic tranmission application. Starter 910-9504 suggested for a 4-speed tranmission application.
- We recommend motor mounts 270-2221 (Left) and 270-2220 (Right)
- Left mount may need to be ground 1/4” to provide clearance for collector
- Fits engines with forward sump oil pans

The product, presumably car headers, consistently receives praise from customers for its quality and nice finish, notably the ceramic coating and AHC finish. Users are pleased with the fit, some mentioning how well they fitted in their jeep swap, Ford 302, or a custom engine swap. The headers outperform pricier competitors, with their larger 1 5/8" tubes cited as an advantageous feature. Customers appreciated the ease of installation, noting that bolt alignment issues common with other headers were not encountered. However, some customers noted it was necessary to mill off corners of certain mounts for proper fit. Despite minor drawbacks, customers are willing to repurchase this product.

Good quality and reasonable price. Prompt delivery but with minor shipping damage. Needed more packaging between headers so they wouldn't bang together during shipping. Customer service quickly resolved the problem and send a replacement pair with no hassle. Thanks.

Headers look to be good quality with nice finish and good price. However they will not fit my 66 falcon due to clearance on shock towers and steering linkage.

These headers fit perfectly with no interference to the starter and a flat mating surface to the block. I did have a problem with the first start up of the engine and break-in procedure. This overheated the ceramic and blistered it. I also had difficulty with the exit flange leaking. These problems were solved by replacing the headers with a new set at my expense due to the break-in temps. The exit flange leak problem was obviously known to the manufacturer and a redesign of the flange was present in the replacement set. In summary, my fault, my expense for the blistering. Buy the cheap headers for the break-in. The exit flange would be difficult to put blame to as the poor design is a common one.

I'm dropping a 1965 289 out of a mustang into a 1962 Falcon Ranchero, with a C4 trans and non-power steering. Is there anything that would prevent me from using these headers, other than using the recommended ultra mini starter? Thanks, - Jason

What is the bolt pattern at each port? Also, they will be going into a 1932 Ford with a 351w. The oil pan is similar to a fox body but deeper. Would that be an issue? Thanks, Lou
