Speedway Motors 9300108S Details

These S/B Chevy Clipster headers are for 1964-87 GM A*, F* and G-Body cars and fit many street rod applications with uni-body front clip suspensions. Clipster headers use longer primaries than Tight Tucks, yet shorter than full length headers. Collectors exit toward the rear of the engine compartment providing excellent ground clearance on "slammed" applications as well as clearing steering and suspension components.

1-5/8" primaries and 3" collectors. Fits straight or angle plug heads.

NOTE: Stainless header tubing when exposed to exhaust temperature will cause the finish to change color which will vary with the exhaust temperature. Please note that the finish of the header when the engine is started, will change to a light champagne color to a darker gold finish and in some instance may even turn dark blue or purple. This can be polished back out when utilizing Blue-away or Simi-chrome polish, but please note that when the headers reach running temperature again, they will immediately change color.

For race/ off road use or for use on pre-1966 vehicles.

Emissions warning: this part only legal for sale or use in California for racing (competition) vehicles which may never be used, registered, or licensed for use upon a public highway, or if installed in vehicles model-year 1965 or older; motorcycles model-year 1977 or older; or off-highway recreational vehicles (such as off-road motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles) model-year 1996 and older. Any other use renders the vehicle tampered and not legal for use on California public highways (any public street or roadway, public dirt road, public park, or publicly maintained right of way open to the use of the public for vehicular travel). Violations subject to $37,500 penalty per violation per vehicle, revocation of registration, loss of use on California public right of ways, and proof of correction for tampering. These worked on my truck with a few grinds to the frame to clear frame on the P/S top rail and the bottom on the D/S where the collector is. If you don't want to do that then they will not fit. It was close to the steering knuckle but cleared. They are really good looking and I like how they come with gaskets, bolts and collectors.

One negative is the driver side collector lays right on the brake proportioning valve, so have had to move that and all the brake lines. No fun It was nice they came with bolts and gaskets. Only problem was the gasket is for oval exhaust ports. My application is on a Blue Print Chev 383 with Blue Print heads that have more of a square port. The oval port gaskets are too hard to trim so Edelbrock gaskets to the rescue.
