2017 Year In Review

Add Article To List

Speedway Motors started 2017 off with a bang and together with Classic Trucks we transformed a 1952 truck in one week. After several long days of wrenching, and a few nights at the end, Speedway came away with one wicked truck. If you missed the build, you can see the entire Week to Wicked project in our Toolbox.

The ’52 truck traveled around to several shows this year including a road trip to the NSRA Street Rod Nationals. It was fun displaying it around the country, but there was something special about having it parked in our own lot for Speedway’s very first monthly get-togethers here on campus. Despite the summer heat or the brisk fall mornings, we had thousands of specialty vehicles join us for coffee, donuts, and tours of the Museum of American Speed. Mark your calendars and join us for Cars & Coffee in 2018!

Many of our employees displayed their own vehicles at a wide variety of car shows, auto cross events, and dirt tracks all year long. Our sponsored Team Speedway with driver Robby Unser won Goodguys AutoCrosser of the Year!

Most importantly, we truly enjoyed serving you this year. We love seeing your projects and helping in whatever ways we can. The Toolbox is there for you when you need it!

Thank you for making our 65th year our best year yet! Let’s build something together in 2018!
