Did you find what you are looking for?
Competition is fierce in the world of racing. It’s important for drivers to have reliable racing shifters that give them the control and speed needed for racing success. A good racing shifter will not only provide fast and precise gear changes, but can also help prevent your engine or transmission from being damaged by accidentally moving into the wrong gear. A variety of different mechanisms can be used to keep the race shifter in place while the driver operates it, including a lever that must be pulled back before moving it, stiff springs that hold it in place, or even heavy weights used to force it back into place. One thing is certain: a proper racing transmission requires reliable parts, so don’t trust just anyone with the performance you’ve worked so hard to build up. Fortunately, the experts at Speedway Motors have you covered with a selection of the best race car shifters on the competitive scene.
Racing Shifter Options
You have a number of different options when it comes to choosing a racing car gear stick. Speedway Motors carries automatic race shifters in just about every arm length you can think of, and if you have questions about what is best for your application our techs are happy to help. Grip styles vary and you have choices including pistol grip, t-handle, and round knob. Our race car gear shifters also come in various finishes including anodized, chrome, powder coated, and more. We also have custom racing shift knobs in stock if you’re looking for a unique knob on your race car shifter.
Do I Need A Neutral Safety Switch?
We do offer a few shifters without a neutral safety switch, but the majority of our automatic racing shifters include a switch. Our techs recommend you opt for a neutral safety switch to avoid any potential mishaps. The neutral safety switch ensures your race car doesn't start in gear and take off unexpectedly by forcing you to be in either neutral or park before starting.
