Installation Tips

Armor Hot Coating (AHC) is a heat resistant, ceramic coating applied to the outside of the header. This coating will reflect heat, which helps retain more heat within the header tube while simultaneously speeding up the exhaust flow. Not only will this coating help you make more horsepower, it also keeps your headers rust-free, looking great, and lasting longer (when properly maintained). If you are looking for a show-quality finish for your headers, this is it! Our AHC will withstand exhaust temperatures of up to 1300¢ª F.

was hoping these were the ones

Bought these for my27 T roadster , This was the 3rd set I have tried and have all been failures although only one set was speedways , They looked great when I got them an thought I finally got it right , After starting and letting it run for a while all looked great , after about the 4th startup I noticed a burnt spot on the finish of #8 cylinder about 2" out from the flange and about 3-4" long so I checked it with laser temp tester and all cylinders were 275-325 in temp except #8 and it was running about 625-650 , Wasn't sure what was causing the problem so checked valve lash and for vacuum leaks and timing could find nothing wrong so removed the header and found a flaw in the weld area I was not sure if it was deflecting the flow to the side of the tube and burnt it, Was confirmed when I put the old chrome sprint header back on and had no more hot spot.

They are a little disappointing. The quality of the finish isn't very good. I really wanted stainless steel headers in the roadster shape.

The finish on these is for the most part pretty good however there are a couple flaws but nothing major. What I like the most is the thick and flat flange which will make for a very good seal. I only have about 60 miles on these so far so I don't know how well they'll hold up but I would buy them again.

would you recommend these for 29 model a with 350 chev.460hp, the finish is not a big deal as this will be a rat rod. Its a tudor on a older Speedway chassis. This will be my summer driver so I want to be able to get it quite enough to enjoy. Thanks
