Overall Assessment

Customers praised the quality, practicality, and features of the product, highlighting its ease of installation, improved acceleration, and idle performance. They noted the carburetor's excellent build, effective fuel atomization, and optimal response off idle. It outperforms competitor models such as the Fi-Tech fuel injection and Rochester quadrajet. This Edelbrock carburetor, particularly the AVS2 variant, is commended for working flawlessly straight from the box, requiring minor to no adjustments. It's also considered an upgrade for more fuel mileage and value for the cost invested—all these qualities make this a highly recommended, must-have endeavor.

I bought the edelbrock avs2 as a quick replacement for an old worn out Rochester. Other than needing a spacer for the best fit ,it was virtually a direct no snags replacement.

I upgraded my previous 1406 Edelbrock on a SBC 350 to the AVS2 and it is incredible the difference it made to the overall performance. The engine is noticeably smoother through the entire RPM range. Throttle response is great and fuel mpg improved

I was reading on another site that it is a spread bore and not square. When looking at the bottom side the plated are smaller on the primary side. Still called a square bore? Do I need a adapter for my square bore manifold?
