Edelbrock 1403 Details

Edelbrock Performer Series carbs have proven themselves to be easy to tune with great drivability. Whether you need to replace an aging stock four barrel carb or are looking for a performance carb to top off your hot rod, the Edelbrock Performer Series four barrel carbs are the best choice for performance and value. All Edelbrock products are proudly made in the U.S.A.

The 1403 is designed and calibrated for smaller cubic-inch engines, so use this Edelbrock carb for Chevy 305 and Ford 302 (or smaller) engines. Match with an Edelbrock Performer or Performer EPS manifold and other brands of similar design. This 4 barrel carb includes an electric choke and detailed instructions. Ford/Mopar throttle adapter arms sold separately.

I love these edelbrock carbs. Over the last 20-30 years I have used them on many different cars. Always an easy bolt-on and very minor tuning. Also like the electric choke that works great. I recently put one on my stock, 283 Ci. Chevelle and now it runs great.

Hi, I'm looking to replace my two(2) 500 cfm Carter carbs on my 1956 DeSoto Adventurer with a 341Hemi. They're original, and rebuilt but are starting to fall apart from years of use. The engine will be rebuilt to slightly better than stock, slight bore, better Ignition, flowed heads and headers. Are these a good fit, literally and cfm size wise? The Carters are short from front to back, It looks like these carbs are close.. I'll figure out the linkage later. Also what is the difference between this carb and the duel quad carbs? Thanks for any help.Much appreciated
