Speedway Motors 9300102H Details

Rodders and racers are known for wedging big engines into small spaces, so these big-block Chevy shorty headers are designed for applications where space is limited. They offer great flow in a compact package and will fit where many other headers won’t. These block hugger headers make difficult installations easy. These shorty headers are ceramic coated headers.

Fits round-port cylinder heads
Compact design fits a wide variety of applications
Made from 16-gauge tubing
Includes reducers, gaskets, and bolts
1-3/4” primary tube diameter
2-1/2” collector diameter
Can be used with most oil filter systems and transmission/starter combinations
Will not fit 55-57 Chevy cars, Camaros, or other modern vehicles which have a crossmember below the engines center two exhaust ports

Warranty Information

Warning: AHC coatings will burn and be damaged at exhaust temperatures above 1300 degrees. A lean fuel mixture can generate exhaust temperatures exceeding 1700-1900 degrees. If the coating is damaged due to a lean condition, the coating will not be warranted, but can be recoated for a fee.

CARB Warning

For race/ off road use or for use on pre-1966 vehicles.

Emissions warning: this part only legal for sale or use in California for racing (competition) vehicles which may never be used, registered, or licensed for use upon a public highway, or if installed in vehicles model-year 1965 or older; motorcycles model-year 1977 or older; or off-highway recreational vehicles (such as off-road motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles) model-year 1996 and older. Any other use renders the vehicle tampered and not legal for use on California public highways (any public street or roadway, public dirt road, public park, or publicly maintained right of way open to the use of the public for vehicular travel). Violations subject to $37,500 penalty per violation per vehicle, revocation of registration, loss of use on California public right of ways, and proof of correction for tampering. I have a new, custom C4 Corvette frame that was made to accept a BBC engine. Unfortunately, the new headers I bought seem to interfere with the upper control arms such that the headers will not bolt to the cylinder heads. My plan is to raise the rear of the engine enough to allow the headers to fit (?) which may require grinding of the a-arm supports to provide the necessary clearance (should confirm soon).

I was surprised that the headers came on the exact day they were promised. Everything was included with the purchase of these block hugger headers. The gaskets, the bolts. I installed the headers on my 454 Chev engine that is stuffed into a 52 Chev business coupe. They fit perfectly into the car, even with Moroso solid motor mounts. Great product.
