Torque Tube Tech Tip

Add Article To List

To keep unwanted liquid and debris from collecting in the tube, drill a 1/4" hole in the base of the collar just ahead of the flange. Ensure this hole faces the ground when the tube is bolted to the rearend.

An easy way to determine if your torque tube is bent or improperly aligned is to place the rearend on squaring blocks and unbolt the torque tube. Rotate the tube two holes and reconnect. If the ball tightens or frees up its ability to rotate due to your new placement of the tube, the tube may be bent.
