Since his dad was a mechanic and car enthusiast, Jordon’s passion for cars started when he was little. One day, his dad brought home a lifted square-body Suburban and Jordon could remember thinking, "Whoa, we have a monster truck now!" Helping with a brake job on his dad’s 1974 Honda CVCC powered by a 2.0L Accord engine was Jordon’s first wrenching experience that led to many more down the road.
Jordon’s stepdad drove a 1987 Nissan Hardbody until he purchased a 1990 Mazda Miata years later. As a graduate of Skip Barber, he would drive both vehicles to their handling limits pretty much everywhere. They spent hours together in the Hardbody traveling to and from racetracks and OHV recreation areas in Southern California with a couple dirt bikes in the back. Jordon’s love for compact pickups was deeply ingrained as a result.

Jordon worked at MotorTrend from 2015-2023 as the Web Production Editor for the Truck & Offroad Group and the HOT ROD Group, and he was the Staff Editor for HOT ROD Magazine in his final two years there.
