Jason Orth began his love of dirt track racing as a toddler going to racetracks across central Nebraska with his dad, Dean Orth. Later, the family moved to Lincoln and Dean started his own sprint car team, racing weekly at the old Midwest Speedway in Lincoln and Eagle Raceway, as well as across other tracks in the Midwest. Jason's summer weeknights were spent in the race shop, and weekends at the racetrack for nearly 2 decades. Jason later toured the Midwest with his dad's #1BK 410 Sprint Car team as a crewman, where they finished 2nd in points in 1996 in the NCRA 410 Sprint division. While not at the track, or in classes, Jason worked at one of the last full-service gas stations in Lincoln, where he did vehicle servicing, tires and mechanic work.

Jason hung up his crewman's gloves to work for Eagle Raceway full time as the assistant General Manager, in charge of PR, web content and race night duties. He also did freelance writing for the Lincoln Journal Star newspaper, various racing publications throughout the Midwest and was a writer for the World of Outlaws Sprint Series.

After Eagle Raceway, Jason grew his e-commerce skills, culminating as a manager of over 200 college bookstore websites. Jason joined Speedway Motors in 2018 where he now serves as Content Production Manager, leading a team producing informative web content, videos, infographics and helpful guides in our Toolbox to highlight Speedway Motors products. He can still be found at the racetracks with his camera or with his son, growing the next generation of race fans.
