Direct Mount a Single 16-Inch Cooling Fan with Ease Using Our 67-69 GM F-Body Fan Shroud

The engine driven fan found in the GM’s F-Body muscle cars provides a simple solution to pulling ambient air through the truck’s radiator to reduce cooling system temperatures. It has worked well in stock engine/chassis environments but can often become a source of frustration when performing engine swaps or upgrading to thicker radiators to combat elevated temperatures in performance engine builds. Often enthusiasts will upgrade to a serpentine accessory drive that no longer supports an engine driven fan either. Enter the electric cooling fan.

The electric cooling fan, once a staple of engine swaps and race car builds has become the preferred OEM cooling fan of choice, and for several great reasons. They do not take away from engine horsepower, provide a much more compact cooling fan solution, and can be controlled via a cooling fan controller (such as a manual switch, thermal switch, modulated fan controller, etc.). The only drawback to an electric cooling fan has been in how to mount them to your radiator. Through the core mounts and universal brackets are the norm, but neither product is a secure fan mount and can damage your radiator’s core fins or tubes. Our new 67-69 Camaro electric fan shroud provides a quick and secure way to mount a single 16-inch electric cooling fan while also providing an effective cooling solution by forcing air to be pulled through the whole radiator core and not just through the fan’s diameter area.

Designed For Direct Fit to Our 67-69 GM F-Body WindChill® Radiators

We made our aluminum fan shroud to fit our 70-81 2nd gen F-Body small block Chevy single pass and LS-swap double pass direct fit WindChill® radiators. These radiators feature an OEM-style “hat channel” top and bottom with slotted mounting holes that match the six mounting holes in the fan shroud. With the hardware included, the aluminum radiator shroud is a bolt on with zero modifications. This aluminum radiator shroud should work for most OEM-spec 67-69 F-Body radiators with similar top and bottom channels as well, though you may have to drill your own mounting holes in those radiators. The pre-cut fan opening is designed to work with most any 16-inch cooling fan and the addition of four rubber pressure relief flaps will help for highway speed cooling by preventing air pressure from building up between the fan and radiator core.
