Item Details

Includes forged spindles with king pins fit to spindles.

Application

Ford-style spindles are generally your best choice when using an original Ford axle or an aftermarket I-beam axle. This spindle is a reproduction version of the 1937-41 spindle. Ford used the same king pin dimensions and geometry on the 1928-48 axles, therefore you can use any 1937-48 Ford spindle on any 1928-48 car axle.

My own dumb fault, but I had to replace the spindles and all ancillary parts on my Model A hot rod. In short, car was built by someone else, 13-14 years ago, so eyeballing it, the parts on the car looked like Speedway's so I replaced them all with Speedway stuff. Took a bit of back and forth with the local Speedway store in Phoenix to get the right parts (my fault, kit on car was odd, perhaps another manufacturer's, or the Dodge disc kit rather than GM disc with Ford bolt pattern) but I got there with help from the folks in the store, all excellent, and a phone call to the online help, also excellent. 20/20 hindsight I should have bought a complete kit, save myself a lot of time and gas money instead of nickel and diming it buying pieces at a time. Live and learn. All the new parts went together perfectly. My first time doing this sort of work and if I can do it, anyone can. Actually a good little learning curve for me.
