Now you can dress up your '28-'48 Ford front axle with these chrome forged 4140 steel spindles. They come complete with bushings installed and '37-'41 style kingpins fitted.
- Superior strength compared to original spindles
- Modeled after the '37-'41 round-back design
- Uses '37-'41 Ford kingpins
- For Ford axles '28-'48
- Complete with kingpin kit
- Bushings fitted to pin and installed
- Will not work with '28-'36 hubs
Don't forget to include our spindle nut kit (910616004) with these spindles.
Note: Not to be used with disc brake kits 91031942 or 91631903 as these kits require modification to the spindle which is not recommended for chrome spindles.

Are as advertised....and what I learned.
Spindles are nice and are as advertised. If I could have it my way, it would be nice to have the option to buy these spindles without the king pin kit, as I also purchased an improved king pin kit with bearings. The included king pin bushings are installed in these spindles and must be pressed out for the new bearing install. There are two cons to this. 1. Extra potential for damaging chrome plating. 2. Spindles are plated after the bushings are installed, sealing the bushings into the spindles which required me to have to pay a machine shop to press them out as my home press could not break them free. One additional request/recommendation, is to note on the product page that the spindles must be modified to fit Lincoln style backing plates. This was my fault for not researching enough, but a simple note Under the Info on the product page would have saved me some frustration and money.

Bad chrome plating
The chrome plating on these is terrible. I no sooner got them installed and the chrome is peeling off. The chrome is peeling from the ONLY place that is constant;y exposed! There was nothing during the install that could have caused this as I was extremely careful during the installation. Now that they are installed, I highly double I could return/exchange them. The king pins and bushings were machined correctly and functionally are good. I will never make this mistake again!

Machined nicely, fit spot on. FINISH.... not so great, disappointed. surface scratches, a swatch of unpolished chrome on the face. Quality control should have inspected them before they were shipped. When you spend the extra money for chrome one would expect better from Speedway. I am going to keep them only because I refuse to pay for freight to go back to Speedway om a blemished product.

I'm hoping to use an early Chevy I-Beam axle for my '31 Chevy coupe. My plan is to have my axle drilled for these early Ford kingpins/spindles so I can purchase an awesome Buick finned aluminum brake drum kit. Can I pull this off on a Chevy axle?
