Speedway Motors 9300550H Details

Nostalgia-style street rods are hotter than ever, and nothing gives your vintage rod that authentic dry lakes competition look like a set of lakester headers. The exposed small block Chevy lakester header works great on rods without hoods, but we’ve also seen them peeking through carefully trimmed hood sides. The headers have flanges so you can connect them to a muffled under-car exhaust when the endplates are on. These ceramic coated headers feature superior performance and durability.

  • Fits 265-400 c.i. with standard or Vortec heads including D-port ZZ-4 style heads (not LT-1) 
  • Includes flange to connect 2-1/2” exhaust pipe
  • Removable end plates allow you to run open headers with ease
  • Includes gaskets and mounting hardware

NOTE: Turn-outs NOT included. Headers come with end plates (turnouts sold separately).

Warning: AHC coatings will burn and be damaged at exhaust temperatures over 1300 degrees. A lean fuel mixture can generate exhaust temperatures exceeding 1700-1900 degrees. If the coating is damaged due to a lean condition, the coating will not be warranted, but can be recoated for a fee.

CARB Warning

For race/ off road use or for use on pre-1966 vehicles.

Emissions warning: this part only legal for sale or use in California for racing (competition) vehicles which may never be used, registered, or licensed for use upon a public highway, or if installed in vehicles model-year 1965 or older; motorcycles model-year 1977 or older; or off-highway recreational vehicles (such as off-road motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles) model-year 1996 and older. Great headers, sound great too.

Great sounding w/o any baffle, but you can add the Speedway auger baffles with a little grinding and they sound great!!! Keeps the cops away too!! I wish the headers were avalible with out the bottom flange. I put over 5,000 miles on my car this summer with these pipes, they sound sweet!! Would recomend and will buy again for my next car project.

These are obviously offshore headers the quality is not there at all the coding head major scratches in it straight from the factory it was not inspected and was subsequently sent to Canada to me I'm very disappointed

Packaged Nice, finish is nice but more like aluminum, if you were going to paint them then AHC is better, but I wish I had gone with chrome. Do not care for the preinstalled flange for a exhaust pipe, this should be an option. Really like the look the car.

Bought these Lake style Headers to bring back the old school look. They look and sound great. Put baffles in for every day cruising pretty loud without baffles. Also added the end tips which look great and also divert the sound down should you decide to utilize. Product quality seems really good nice thick flanges. Nice coating no scratches. Highly recommend.
