Speedway Motors 930CBR100 Details

Hood-less and fender-less street rods look great with exposed headers! These small-block Chevy headers are designed to provide extra front tire and door clearance while routing the exhaust outside the frame rail and along the side of the car. They work great on 1932 Ford hi-boys and similar fenderless early street rods.

  • 1-5/8" primary, 3-1/2" collector
  • Design allows for maximum tire and door clearance
  • Allows a shorter turning radius than other styles of open-wheeled headers
  • Works with angle-plug, standard port, and Vortec heads (not D-port LT-1 or ZZ4)
  • Extensions and mufflers sold separately

Emissions warning: this part only legal for sale or use in California for racing (competition) vehicles which may never be used, registered, or licensed for use upon a public highway, or if installed in vehicles model-year 1965 or older; motorcycles model-year 1977 or older; or off-highway recreational vehicles (such as off-road motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles) model-year 1996 and older. Overall Assessment

They experienced significant horsepower and torque increases with these headers. Products were well built, heavy-duty, and fitted multiple vehicle models perfectly, including '28 Tudor, '32 Ford Highboy, and '30 Ford Model A. Users also appreciated the improved sound, aesthetic improvement and perfect fit. Despite some minor fitting issues for a 33 Willis, users managed to modify the headers accordingly. They are recommended for their high quality and exceptional performance. Only minor fitting issues were reported.

Highboy Headers

I used these on a 32 Ford Highboy build. They fit perfectly for that application. Fit and finish was great, no problems at all. If your building a highboy these do nicely. I had the exhaust system Jet Hot coated after the entire system was built and everyone was amazed at the quality. I will be buying these again when I build another.

Model a with 4" drop axle

Packaging was terrible, most of the bolts fell out of the box. Motor is in standard location and height and has 26" front tires on a 4" drop axle. Nothing out of the ordinary and headers won't clear front tires. Should've bought them on Amazon for free returns.

These long tube headers really add to bottom end torque. I installed them on my '28 Ford Model A hot rod for the Antique Nationals and reduced my 1/8th mile time by a half second.
