Overall Assessment

Customers emphasize the product’s high-quality build and practicality. It is highlighted as a valuable addition to vintage cars, particularly for enhancing driving comfort with power steering. The power steering box has been installed in various models including roadsters, a 1939 Ford Todor Sedan, and a 30' Model A, exhibiting excellent adaptability. It’s described as "heavy-duty", expected to last a lifetime, and praised for its ease of installation. Despite not being a "bolt in", the product continues to work perfectly. The power box in particular, has been appreciated for significantly improving handling. The product even outperforms manual steering boxes, making a substantial difference in parking vehicles. However, potential space issues related to specific frames are mentioned.

I purchased the gearbox to install on my 40 Ford which it says it fits. I just found out that I need a different mounting bracket to make it work. I hope the pitman will work or it's another $77. the description should specify if other parts must be purchased separately.

I have it installed but haven't ran it yet. Looks very good. The pitman arm was less than I expected. Should work out great though.

You tell that this kit is rear steer but in the 'what's in this kit' you tell that 91023400 front steer box is included. Is this kit rear steer and is the power Vega box available separately as rear steer?

I know the type engine & or headers etc. may determine if the vega power steering box will fit in the confines of my 32 Ford chassis, however what info. might you have beyond those issues mentioned ? my vehicle is powered with a 302/C-4 Ford combo & already equipped with an operating vega manual box, just looking to improve the tight confine steering . Additionally what pump/brackets/hoses are used & are they available from Speedway ? Thanks,Ron
