  • Requires use of 15" wheels and an axle flange that has a diameter of 6-1/8" or smaller, if larger than 6-1/8" you'll need to machine it down to size

The Speedway Ford 9" Rear End Disc Brake Kit provides an easy to install, bolt on solution for upgrading your pre-1980 Ford passenger car 9” rear-end to disc brake performance. Speedway's Ford 9" Rear End Disc Brake Kit is unique in that it provides all the brackets and flanges that fit the three most popular sizes of the 9” rear end (3-3/8” x 2”, 3-1/2” x 2-3/8”, 3-9/19” x 2” ). This eliminates all guesswork when purchasing and installing the kit. The DBK9 comes in both standard and high performance models. The high performance LX kits upgrade to cross-drilled and slotted rotors and stainless steel braided brake lines.

Good low budget kit

Good kit that has everything to bolt on some rear disc brakes. The parking brake must be pressed in constantly every time the vehicle is parked in order to keep adjustment on the calipers piston. The banjo hose location is a little tight for clearance for hooking up to the existing lines but not a big deal. The banjo hose end was not fully drilled out either. Time will tell how good of a budget kit it is, but to get things going right away it will do the job.

Would not buy again

First problem is they state it will fit a 6 1/4 axle flange. False had to machine a 1/8 of a inch off my axles to fit in the rotor hat. Second problem when putting the pads in it was a pain to keep the clip in place so I ended up tearing the piston dust boot. My fault I own that mistake however called tech support twice to try and get a replacement waited on hold for 30 min each to find out they do not have replacement parts for it. Gave me two different cars and years to find the part at my local parts store neither are correct. Extremely frustrating that speedway motors sells this as a branded product but do not offer any replacement parts other than pads. So now My only option is to buy a new caliper to replace my still new caliper for a dust boot that would cost at most 10 dollars.
