Speedway Motors 91011018 Details

Just the ticket for that tri-power setup! These chrome plated steel air cleaners have a 4" x 2" replaceable paper element and will fit 2-5/8" and 2-5/16" carbs.

Comes with a metal screw to secure it to the carb neck from the side. Includes tri-bar style nut.

Looks good!

As some others have stated, this air cleaner comes with a tiny set screw to secure it to the carb. No way I would trust that to stay in place. For me, since my Rochester has a cross piece on top of the inlet with a 1/4-20 tap in center, it was an easy mod. With a mini hack saw, I cut away the tapped yoke from the new air cleaner base. I then had to remove the carb cross piece to slip the base in place, then reinstall the cross piece. I used a 1/4-20 rod coupling and a 3/4" piece of 1/4-20 rod and locked that to the carb cross piece. The supplied wing nut and stud threads perfectly into the rod coupling, and secured the assembly like it was made to fit that way. Well, actually it was.. By Me.

POOR DESCRIPTION FOR INSTALLATION

THE OVERALL PRODUCT IS GOOD. THEY FIT MY ROCHESTER TRI-POWER SET UP WELL AND WILL BE EFFECTIVE CLEANING THE INTAKE AIR. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS INSTALLATION. THEY COME WITH A SMALL SET SCREW THROUGH THE SIDE OF THE BASE THAT FRICTION ATTACHES TO A VERY SMALL PORTION OF THE UPPER LIP OF THE CARB. WITH THIS SET UP THEY FALL OFF VERY EASILY. THEY SHOULD TELL THE BUYER THAT THEY WILL NEED TO REMOVE THE PROVIDED AIR HORN THEN ATTACH TO THE CARB WITH A LENGTH OF READY (PRE-THREADED) ROD.

Looks a lot better than the old oil bath air cleaner,the screw that holds it on carburetor is pretty much useless had to tap it out for 10-32 screw, haven't ran engine yet still building the truck.
