The end result is superior shift-ability with smooth shifts at high RPMs through the use of multi-cone synchronizers and hybrid synchronizer rings. At the same time, noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) performance is optimized with a gear layout to best control stress levels, while providing structural stiffness with a ribbed, 3-piece aluminum housing. Durability is further optimized with oversized gear widths, gaskets at all flanges and caged needle bearings in all gear positions.

Whether restoring or upgrading a classic muscle car or a 1930s-era roadster coupe, the new TREMEC TKX 5-speed RWD manual transmission delivers a top-quality drivetrain solution.

I'm putting this kit in a 1950 Ford car. The clutch linkage in the kit will work with the 1948 style clutch which is a completely different design from the 50. What can I do to make this work? Also, I have the correct driveshaft yoke, do I need to change the driveshaft length? Thank you, Andy

I am attempting to put this conversion kit in a 1950 Ford car. I have repeatedly tried to fit the trans up to the 3" adapter. It will get to within 1/2" of making contact with the adapter and stop. I know that it needs to align perfectly to fit into the pilot bearing. *I installed the pilot bearing flush with the front of the flywheel, should it go deeper? *Could I grind a slight taper on the nose of the trans? *This is getting really frustrating, do you have any suggestions?

I have a 1949 Ford F3 with a flathead 6. Currently it has a 3 speed transmission which does not allow it to go above 35 mph. Is there a way to get this or something similar to work for the Flathead 6 in the F3? Or perhaps a different rear end?

I purchased the tko to flathead conversion kit (910-28908) and I need to know how to mount the clutch release return spring (916-75152). I can see that one end mounts to the bracket on the throwout bearing but what do I attach the other end to?
