Speedway's Sure Seal air cleaner base is manufactured from spun aluminum. Fits Holley carbs. Uses standard 14" diameter filters, sold separately. Minimum filter height required is 4".

Base has a 1-1/2" drop
Distance from the carb neck to top with .5" spacer and 4" filter = 4.25"
Must be used in conjunction with Sure Seal Air Cleaner Spacer # 910-11063

Sure Seal 1.5" Drop Air Cleaner Base for 14" Element

It is a very good quality base designed specifically for gaining additional hood clearance above an air cleaner on a carburetor sitting on an increased height intake manifold and/or carb spacer. This particular base was utilized in conjunction with a Sure Seal 0.5" riser to clear the accelerator pump lever on front top of a Quadrajet carburetor having heat riser choke linkage. Even with a 0.5" air cleaner riser, the drop base would probably not clear an electric choke housing on a Quadrajet carb; conversion to a manual choke would cure that problem. Due to the narrow clearance between the base hump and underside of a lid on a 3" filter element, air flow restriction would occur at high rpm with a medium to large displacement engine. That will not be a problem on the moderate performance 1967 GTO 400 ci mill which this one was installed on. The Sure Seal 1.5" drop base suits its intended purpose and is a bargain, even considering that is neither painted nor powder coated. It is highly recommended.

Very clean forming, some sharp edges but I cant complain. Does not fit Edlebrock 1406 (electric choke) without a 1/4" spacer. Looks great under the hood.
