If you've got spherical rod ends on your vehicle, you'll probably need jam nuts. You might also need them for tie-rod ends or other types of fittings and connectors. Our jam nuts are made from premium steel (zinc-coated for corrosion prevention), and they're available with either right hand or left hand threads.

I had to build a custom shift linkage for my S10 using an old Ford mustang type shifter. I used 3/8th Heim ball ends with these nuts to lock the length. Worked great I now have one of the few floor shifted automatic S10s around.
