Speedway Motors 9300100 Details

These compact, tight-fit headers are designed for Small Block Chevy (S/B Chevy) engines with round port heads, making them ideal for applications where space is limited. Featuring 1-1/2" primaries and a 2-1/2" collector, these block hugger headers simplify even the most challenging installations.

  • Designed for round port S/B Chevy cylinder heads
  • Driver side collector is approximately 2" from the pan rail
  • Passenger side collector is approximately 1/2" from the pan rail
  • Flange thickness: approximately 0.212"
  • Includes reducers, gaskets, and bolts
  • Will NOT fit angle plug heads
  • Will NOT clear 'clam shell' style motor mounts (common on 1973-up Chevy applications)

NOTE: Most tight-fit applications require shorty spark plugs for proper clearance like those offered by Accel.

Unrivaled Quality

I live less than 40 minutes from summit racing in Tallmadge Ohio yet I keep finding myself coming back to speedway, time and time again. The other day I went to summit racing and bought the same headers, in fact I think manufactured by the same company. Then I took them home to match them to my engine and make sure they clear my frame. After that I bought these headers from speedway, for a third the price, and returned the summit racing ones. Side by side they're identical but speedway puts so much more care into their packaging and labeling. All around it was better hardware, better gaskets, and the same headers for a third the price. Only down side is the instructions are printed on the gasket packaging that needs to be ripped up to get out the gaskets. If you know what you're doing then it won't bother you but it'd be nice to have instructions elsewhere, even just a 8.5x11 paper thrown in the box.

Junk not worth the price.

I have bought items in the past and have had no problems. One of the headers will fit both sides with no clearance problems. The other header fits so tight against number 3 and 5 or 4 and 6 whichever side you place it on that it will crack the plug. My wife bought these as a Christmas present two years ago and its to late to even contact customer support. I could take a hammer and put a dimple in it but that is not going to look good at all. I am building a street rod, not a junk rod. Also the runners came out past the flange and I had to grind these down flush with the flange. No option for the temp sensor in the head either. Just don't buy these.

The headers are a good quality, but there isn't enough room for the front and rear sparkplug boots. I had to dent the tubes for fitment. Not a big problem for me or this application, but if I was going for big hp, I'd be disappointed.
