You don't have to look any farther for tubular control arms for your Mustang II IFS-equipped hot rod. Our Mustang II control arms are made from full .120 wall, 1.25" diameter tubing, fixture welded and feature screw-in ball joints and no-squeak rubber bushings. These new generation, no-strut style arms eliminate the strut rod found on stock-style Mustang II IFS systems. The improved, triangulated design provides stability and strength within the arm itself, so you can get rid of that ugly strut rod.
Will work with nearly any stock or aftermarket Mustang II front crossmember (welding is required on most applications). Lower control arm accepts most coil-over shock assemblies.

- Upgrade to a cleaner looking control arm
- Full .120" wall, 1.25" diameter fixture welding tubing
- Features screw-in ball joints and no-squeak bushings
- Works with nearly any stock or aftermarket crossmember
- Welding may be required on some applications
- Designed to correspond with coil-over style springs and shocks
- Works with Mustang II crossmembers that come without lower A-Arm tabs
- Non-strut rod applications
Check out our 5/8" narrower than stock width upper control arms (91034337) for applications that require a shorter track width. These allow you to tuck the wheels up under the fenders without having to buy expensive special offset wheels.
Why go with tubular control arms? The most obvious reason is the looks. Tubular control arms and strut rods give your hot rod a much cleaner and hi-tech appearance than the stock type do. Another bonus is that the tubular control arms are available in 5/8 " narrower than stock, which helps tuck the wheels up under the fenders without having to buy expensive special offset wheel. When using 5/8 " narrower control arms, 1 " must be removed from each inner tie rod end. Why go with tubular control arms? The most obvious reason is the looks. I would buy again
Purchased the 5/8" narrower control arms originally but wasn't able to get proper alignment. Had to purchase the standard width. They look like they will work just fine. There were no issues with the original control arms, just the way the chassis was built that caused the issue. Sending original purchase back, hopefully will get credited back with no issues.

overall these seem ok but are coil over
Welds are as expected for low budget a-arms, too much under cut on welds but should hold up, main problem is these have a listed 1/2" coil over mounting bolt and they are not even close just under 7/16 with my digital micrometer and this is a big problem, near impossible to find 1/2 to 7/16 reducers, so the 1/2 spacers I also bought are way too loose, once installed I imagine coil overs would become loose and start to make noises. I am making my own spacers since I have a lathe but it a trade off as I think the Heidts would end up being a better deal after I'm done. Too bad this is not first time I get stuff from speedway that ends up collecting dust because it doesn't match the description. Beware and if you do buy be prepared to ring 1/2 to 7/16 reducers/spacers.

I installed this IFS on my 1954 Chevy 3100. The instructions were good for the cross member, box in plates, shock towers and such. There were no instructions to help install the power rack, coil overs, disc brakes or rotors.

On these lower control arm is the bolt for the coilover 7/16" or 1/2". Your coilover shocks don't have a bushing to go down to 7/16" bolt. Also a 7/16" is a little on the light side for a coilover shock. Can you confirm the bolt size.
