You don't have to look any farther for tubular control arms for your Mustang II IFS-equipped hot rod. Our Mustang II control arms are made from full .120 wall, 1.25" diameter tubing, fixture welded and feature screw-in ball joints and no-squeak rubber bushings. These new generation, no-strut style arms eliminate the strut rod found on stock-style Mustang II IFS systems. The improved, triangulated design provides stability and strength within the arm itself, so you can get rid of that ugly strut rod.
Will work with nearly any stock or aftermarket Mustang II front crossmember (welding is required on most applications). Lower control arm accepts most coil-over shock assemblies. These control arms are 5/8" narrower than stock, which means that they will reduce front track width by 5/8" per side (or 1-1/4" overall) when compared to a stock width control arm. This helps tuck the wheels up under the fenders without having to buy expensive special offset wheels. When using 5/8" narrower control arms, 5/8" must be removed from each inner tie rod end.
- 5/8" Narrower than stock width
- Upgrade to a cleaner looking control arm
- Full .120" wall, 1.25" diameter fixture welding tubing
- Features screw-in ball joints and no-squeak bushings
- Works with nearly any stock or aftermarket crossmember
- Welding may be required on some applications
- Designed to correspond with coil-over style springs and shocks
- Works with Mustang II crossmembers that come without lower A-Arm tabs
- Non-strut rod applications
Why go with tubular control arms? The most obvious reason is the looks. Tubular control arms and strut rods give your hot rod a much cleaner and hi-tech appearance than the stock type do. Why go with tubular control arms? The most obvious reason is the looks. Tubular control arms and strut rods give your hot rod a much cleaner and hi-tech appearance than the stock type do.
NOTE - When using the 5/8 inch narrower control arms, you must remove approximately 1 inch from each inner tie rod end to maintain proper steering geometry.

Read this one as well!!!
In the first review, I stated a CON on being unpainted... Just filling in all the blanks... Just in case you're reading this one first, These a the jelly that you need for the peanut butter.... LOL I have a HEIDTS Mustang II front end on a 76 Vega, as you can see from the picture with the tire outside the fender, I had the wrong offset, went to a Weld Wheel with the most I could find and still not enough. That is when I found these narrowed control arms on Speedway Site... What a savings over the HEIDTS product. Instructions are clear and understandable, just painted them with oil base black paint. These are MUCH more safer than the Mustang II style system, once the bushing starts to fail, it causes the car to be harder to control when stopping... With these control arms installed, the car handles a lot better over the stock set up. When you buy, go when the upper and lower, Great quality at a fraction of the Heists price. Well worth the purchase...

I would not recommend these control arms
the first pair of control arms I received was misaligned where the coilover bolt was supposed to thread in, to the point you could not thread in the bolt. The second pair I was sent the main 5/8 bolt was bent in both of them. This was due to the fact that there was such a misalignment between the 2 lower bushings, I think the bolt had to have been forced in with a hammer because I needed to use a hammer to get it out. The weld quality was below average including some welds having pinholes. And the bolt for the coilovers can't be seated properly because it hits weld before it is tight. This is a disappointing product. To be fair this is the first time I have been disappointed by Speedway but the lack of quality control on this is upsetting.
