Our Lake Header Baffles Provide Reduced Exhaust Sound Levels

Many lake style headers offer a welded flange to bolt under car exhaust to, providing the option of running a full exhaust with mufflers, or “uncapping” the lake headers for racing or simply to have a louder, open header, exhaust note. While our double-Y lake headers offer a unique double cone outlet that is stacked on an angle for an eye catching visual, the double cone outlet prevents the adaptation of an under car exhaust connection (not without a lot of fabrication anyway). Our answer to taming the exhaust note on these double-Y lake headers; louvered baffle inserts with fiberglass wrap/packing that slip right into the ends of the lakester header cones.

Everything You Need For An Easy Installation

Beginning with a louvered steel core, our double-Y lake style header baffles are fitted with fiberglass packing between the baffle retaining rings. These rings provide contact with the header cone for proper placement within the header. The included hardware provides a way to secure the baffles inside the header cones as well as allow for easy removal for maintenance or for when you wish to run your double-Y lake headers in an open configuration.
