- 1/2"-20 thread on stud with 1-3/4" thread length, shank length is 2.42" and 0.62" O.D. at top of taper, 0.579" at bottom

Old tie rods that were installed by previous owner failed in less than 5 years. Tie rod boots rotted and allowed water and contamination of the parts. Made steering very hard. These replacements are of such quality with routine maintenance should last many years.

When I took it out of the box I could see this is a great part. Excellent S/S polish job. Mounted it up and took it out for a spin. Nice and tight steering again. I do not write reviews but I was impressed enough to do one on this part.

The SS metal and polishing is purely top notch. Wish it had a better grade of synthetic rubber. The rubber boot ages way too fast. They checked and cracked in 1.5 years, all during mock-up in the garage. I'd swap the boots if they had a zerk fitting.
