Speedway Motors 9300559 Details

Vintage style street rods are hotter than ever, and nothing gives your fenderless rod an authentic dry lakes competition look like a set of lakester headers. These lake style header kits allow you to build your own weld up headers and tailor them to your vehicle. All tubing comes pre-bent. Tapered cones can be trimmed as needed. Lakester header kit includes parts to complete both sides.

  • 5/16" thick flanges
  • 16 ga. pre-bent tubing
  • Collector flanges w/ block-off plates
  • Flanges for connecting an under-car exhaust system (2.5" O.D.)

Weld up kit with a lot of thought in it.

Sure you have to cut and weld but I like making my own stuff. A lot of thought has already gone into them. My engine is pushed back pretty far, but the primary tubes come long enough to clear the cowl/firewall on my 32'. The cones are also short enough so as to not interfear with my doors opening (my five window doors open forward).

When I ordered these, I pictured a big greasy box full of pipes. I was pleasantly surprised with how well everything was packaged. The flanges are flat, the cones aren't dinged, and the gaskets and fasteners are all carded. Well done, Speedway. I haven't welded them up yet, which is good, as my welds will be the ugliest part.

i used your produce my rat rod.they are very complete and good value for money the only thing i had to do was buy a new header plates because here in Australia we have Holden V8 motors based on Chev's.but they do look awesome.

I need between 11 to 13" on e measurement to clear the body. Will this kit do this can you use 1 5/8 straight pipe instead of the curved ones in the kit. the car is a 1971 VW super beetle on a 1996 Jeep wrangler frame and a 283 small block and a th350 trans.
