Speedway Motors 9300150H Details

These small-block Chevy 265-400 V8 headers are designed for optimum performance in a variety of 1935-1948 fat-fendered street rod and pickup applications. Perfect for Gasser-style rods and drag cars, the ceramic coated headers have long primary tubes that curve over the frame and through the fender wells. You must cut the inner fender panels to make them fit. These fender well, ceramic coated headers provide superior performance and durability.

Includes collectors, collector gaskets, header gaskets, header bolts, and collector bolts.

Application

  1. Can be used with most oil filter system or transmission and starter combination.
  2. Fits most angle plug heads.
  3. Check motor mount position before ordering.
  4. Not legal for sale or use in California on pollution controlled vehicles.

AHC coated headers will burn and be damaged at exhaust temperatures above 1300 degrees. An excessively lean fuel mixture can generate exhaust temperatures over 1700-1900 degrees. If the coating is burned (which will look like a dull gray) due to a lean condition, it is not warrantied, but the headers can be recoated.

CARB Warning

For race/ off road use or for use on pre-1966 vehicles.

Emissions warning: this part only legal for sale or use in California for racing (competition) vehicles which may never be used, registered, or licensed for use upon a public highway, or if installed in vehicles model-year 1965 or older; motorcycles model-year 1977 or older; or off-highway recreational vehicles (such as off-road motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles) model-year 1996 and older. Any other use renders the vehicle tampered and not legal for use on California public highways (any public street or roadway, public dirt road, public park, or publicly maintained right of way open to the use of the public for vehicular travel). Violations subject to $37,500 penalty per violation per vehicle, revocation of registration, loss of use on California public right of ways, and proof of correction for tampering. There are similar restrictions and penalties under federal law and the laws of all other states with penalties under federal law of up to approximately $45,268 per tampered vehicle and/or engine.

Put them on a 46' Willys panel, Fit great just needed to trim the fenders and part of the body. Look and sound awesome!

Nice Fit Poor Quality On AFC Coating

The fit is very nice in my 35 Ford, but save your money on the coating. The coating is uneven, thin, scratches easily and is discoloring just after start up. A can of paint would look and last just as good. The header itself is a good Product

I tried two sets and both were different and neither one fit the description application. Created a lot work and time and several hundred dollars wasted. Speedway did accept the items back and I appreciate that, but ended up going to Sanderson Headers and theirs fit great. I guess you get what you pay for.

I was very pleased with the headers but the collectors are not coated so now I will have to buy some different ones or have them coated. Not sure why they would have such a nice header and then supply a collector that will turn to rust in the first month. Poor thinking on their part. They could at least tell you up front and offer some better collectors.
