    Overall Assessment

Customers generally find the PTFE Washer for S to be a good product. They highlighted that it can effectively prevent gas leakage when used correctly. It has been pointed out that the problem is not with the washer's quality, but with the banjo housing not being correctly machined. After sanding the inside of the housings, customers faced no sealing issues. However, it was also suggested that copper seals could be superior. In all, the PTFE Washer was appreciated for its practicality and effectiveness.

there is a trick to sealing these washers on the 97 carbs. the banjo bolt Must be able to spin freely inside the housing! if the bolt is binding with the gasket on the bolt it will appear really tight and will not seal! gas will leak. 100 % guaranteed . I fixed 4 housings from speedway with a pencil and some 320 sandpaper and sanded the inside of the housings until the bolt turned freely without the gasket. they then had no issues sealing with very little torque on the banjo bolt. its not the gaskets fault it is faulty banjo housing not machined properly. it is an easy fix. but has probly driven a few to drink chasing a fuel leak.

It is good, but could be better.

These are nylon seals for Stromberg 97 carbs fuel line banjo fittings. I think copper ones may be better.
