Installation Tips

This adapter contains four 1/2"-13 threaded holes to mount the transmission case to the adapter. The bolt sizes on a T-5 transmission case are not consistant. In order for your T-5 to work with this adapter, you may be required to enlarge the four bolt holes in the case of your transmission so that they accept 1/2"-13 bolts.
A return spring tab (normally found on an original Flathead transmission) is not included.

Transmission application required is a 1982-1991 Chevy S10/GMC S15 2WD utilizing bolt pattern as follows:

8-1/4" center-to center top bolt holes
9-1/8" center-to-center bottom bolt holes
4-7/8" center-to-center bottom bolt to top bolt, either side

Instructions and adapter need minor mods

Verified

Kit should include cross shaft and throwout fork. Adapter should be cast with starter cup relief and inspection hole in top to help alighnment during install. Instructions shuld recommend a hydraulic press to install the throwout bushing.
