The KIRKEY 38 Series Standard Layback Seat Kit is built for racers who need a lightweight, durable, and comfortable seat for entry-level and grassroots racing applications. Designed for Street Stocks, IMCA Modifieds, Limited Late Models, Mini Modifieds, Dwarf Cars, Legends, and similar race vehicles, this aluminum seat features a unique shell design that supports mounting positions from 10 to 20 degrees of layback while maintaining a low center of gravity. Constructed from .100-inch thick 5052-grade aluminum with TIG and MIG welding, the seat delivers the strength required for demanding racing conditions.

For added safety and durability, the seat incorporates bolt-on rib braces, a welded headrest plate, and reinforced perimeter extrusion. Openings for lap, shoulder, and submarine belts accommodate most racing harness systems, while molded rubber trim helps protect belts and provides a finished appearance. The included snap-on cover features quilted padding and high-density foam support to enhance driver comfort during long race sessions, while reinforced stress points and double-stitched belt openings improve durability.
