These Hushpower II mufflers are made of durable T-409 stainless steel and are the perfect match for any street application up to 400 horsepower. Their Cool Shell technology gives you a great sound and also helps control heat transfer to your floor pan.

Put these on my 1954 Chevy conv with a 350 sbc . Nice sounding , but I would have liked them a little quieter .

Flowmaster mufflers often have the bad reputation of causing cabin drone/resonance according to people. However, this one does the totally opposite. It still maintains a nice deep tone and nice sound when stepping on the pedal. People believe there are hundreds of horsepowers underneath the hood, even though it's approximately 165 BHP. Note: This muffler or resonator as it also function as, is combined with a DNA Motoring catback. The cabin drone definitely reduced a lot and the overall volume also quiteted down a bit to a nicer level. My car still drones with the Super HP2 around 1800-2000 RPM, but a lot less than 1500-2800 RPM that it used to. Cruising on the highway is now like a dream. Instead of listening to music from headphones, I can finally use the speaker system from the car during cruise.

Folks at Speedway, I would like to know why this item, and many other Flowmaster models, have a 400 HP limitation? What drives this? My engine is a 383 Stroker and puts out 460 HP and 520 Ft lbs of torque. My exhaust system is 2.25 OD, except for the 3" collectors that reduce to 2.25". Please let me know if this item is compatible? I really like the sound it produces. Thanks, Kevin
