ATK Engines DCWT Details

The ATK Engines DCWT remanufactured Chevy LMG/LY5 5.3L engine is a dependable OEM-style replacement for 2007-2009 GM applications. Built to restore factory performance, drivability, and reliability, this 5.3L V8 is well suited for trucks and SUVs that need a properly configured replacement engine for everyday use, towing, or work duty. As part of the proven GM small-block family, the LMG/LY5 platform delivers solid power and broad application coverage for late-model GM vehicles.

This remanufactured engine is equipped with Displacement on Demand and includes the cylinder deactivation solenoid plate already installed, helping support fuel-saving operation while simplifying installation. Important fitment details include D-shape exhaust ports, a 1-bolt cam gear, and a cam sensor located on the left side of the timing cover. It also includes one PCV valve cover, adding convenience during assembly. With the correct combination of GM-specific features and remanufactured reliability, the ATK DCWT is a strong choice for replacing a worn or damaged 5.3L engine.
